Helena’s broad-based knowledge and experience in the field of culture make her a successful consultant as well as an interesting conversation partner. In the field of communication, she is fascinated by the variety of tasks and the opportunity to thoroughly familiarise herself with a wide range of very different topics. She firmly believes that in addition to the power of words, listening skills are a prerequisite for successful communication that help to understand and make sense of people’s needs. Helena appreciates the role of communication in highlighting and doing justice to important topics, ensuring that hidden issues are brought to the fore and clients’ goals are effectively met.

EXPERIENCE
Helena manages several different cultural projects, writes articles and compiles publications. The topics that she works on range from legal matters to investing and personal well-being. Helena organises events and manages their coverage in the media. She is the internal communication coordinator of several organisations, making sure that information flows and plans run smoothly.

Helena has managed the communication and marketing of the Estonian Open Air Museum, for which she has supervised and brought to life a number of informational publications, social media content and new web solutions. Having also worked at Vaal Gallery, Helena brings a deep love of art to wherever she is.

EDUCATION
Helena graduated from the University of Tartu in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in semiotics and cultural theory, minoring in economics. In 2014, she graduated with a Master’s in semiotics and cultural theory from the University of Tartu. In addition, Helena has added to her skills through studying at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. .

OTHER INTERESTS
Helena follows the progress of Estonian museums and is especially interested in contemporary art. In her spare time, she enjoys good literature and being in the nature. She never refuses the opportunity to go on an exciting trip with friends.
