Thanks to her education as an editor and her varied experience in journalism, Maiken can handle an extensive range of different topics, structure texts fluently, identify the most important ideas and give sound advice on matters of language. Her ability to get to the core of things gives her a great advantage in managing different projects. A genuine interest in how a product or a service works and reaches people or what charms and pains different professions make her an excellent project manager.

EXPERIENCE
Maiken has wide and varied experience in journalism. She has written for Maaleht and produced both consumer and health news for Postimees. Her largest project so far has been the launch and leadership of the weekly newspaper Postimees Junior for schoolchildren over three years. This youth publication provided news, personal stories and entertainment in simple and clear language to thousands of children, their friends and their families.

EDUCATION
Maiken graduated from Tallinn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Estonian philology in 2015 and a Master’s degree in language editing in 2022. Due to her great interest in health, she also trained as a nutritionist at the Annely Soots School of Health.

OTHER INTERESTS
In her spare time, Maiken can be found mainly at the sports club, but she also participates in public races. She greatly enjoys nature and is always moving to accumulate those healthy steps. She certainly won’t say no to a good concert or exploring a new country.
